Saydnaya Christmas Tree 2008

This is the 4th Year that Saydnaya lights the Huge Christmas tree in the square of Al Saydeh Convent.

Is it late !

Hello everyone ! How are you doing ?

I hope everything is going well with all of you (readers of my blog(s)).

Is it too late to appologize ! because I didn't write or post any new articles recently!? I hope it is not.

Because I wanna say I am Sorry for not writing anything lately!

I got very busy these days, as I am in my graduation year and I am preparing for it, And Me and couple friends decided to run a website, so I am busy planning for this as well.

Anyway, I hope that I am going to post some more posts soon during this winter!

speaking of winter, it is getting really cold here!

Today, a guy from germany tried to call me on my cell phone, but the voice wasn't clear and then the line dropped!

I am only 20, But till now I HAVE NEVER SAW RAIN LIKE THIS BEFORE ...
This is the first time (at least for me) that I see such a strong rain falling in Saidnaya (or any other place "for me") .. hehehe ... it was really strong and the thunder and lightining were here, just above Saidnaya.

This Lebanese bus got stuck for a while in our house street, but after the rain calmed down for a while it went in its distination again (Saint Tomas) Mar Touma !

Three Hot Days, It rained every day at 4.00 PM Exactly, it was like it has a date with us, very hot days, and the rain comes at 4.00PM to cool it down for at least 1 hour.
Those Three days were amazing in saydnaya ... I wish you were here !

معقولة تشتي باب و تتلج على الدنيا كلها ؟؟
هيك كان يقول وائل كفوري ... بس مع الاسف ما نزل تلج ...
كان كتير في شوب بهدول ال 3 ايام اللي مضوا .. كانت المطر تنزل كل يوم الساعة 4 عالدقيقة
يا ريتكون بصيدنايا !!

Al Tajaly Celebration

August 6th, Saydnaya is celebrating in al Tajaly Eid.
The night before ( August 5th) Usually a big Carnaval goes around the town. But this year it didn't happen .. I don't know why!
But as Usual a big celebration happened in Al Tajaly church in Saydnaya .. and the night was rocking ..
A big Dabkeh is held ... lots of visitors and almost everyone in the town were there.
The pictures taken in this Dabkeh ... I'm sorry they aren't perfect, I took them with my mobile and it was at night of course.
It was from 10 PM till 2.30 AM .. None stop Dabkeh ... hehehe
If you Live in Saydnaya .. the Dabkeh will become a part of you.


اب 6 , صيدنايا تحتفل بعيد التجلي
الليلة السابقة (5 اب) عادة يقام كرنفال كبير يدور في البلدة .. لكن هذه السنة لم يحدث لسبب ما! .. لا اعرفه
و لكن كالعادة, اقيم احتفال كبير في ساحة دير التجلي امام الكنيسة.. الليلة كانت ممتازة (صيدناوياً) .. ههه
كالعادة دبكة كبيرة ... الكثير من الزوار و اغلب سكان صيدنايا كانو هناك بالاحتفال
الصور اخذت بهذه الدبكة .. اسف لانها ليست واضحة اخذتها عن طريق هاتفي الخلوي بالليل طبعا
الدبكة كانت من حوالي الساعة 10 مساء حتى 2.30 فجرا
اذا كنت تعيش في صيدنايا ... الدبكة ستصبح جزءا منك

I don't know if the the renewing made it better ... but hey, it is still the same school from inside.

but no thank you, I don't want to come back there again! hehehe

by the way from the other side of the school there is a giant tree ... I think I am going to take a picture of it and post it here ... I am telling you it worth it
that tree was as big as it is right now .. since my father was at that school .. about 40 years ago!
that's a long time ..eh?

I hope to do that soon!

I just took those pics for the Chiroubim Convent. It is on the highest mountains of Saydnaya. it is higher than 1000 Meter over the sea level.
It is very cool there, and cold most of the times of the year.
It is amazing ... just another glimpse of Saidnaya

Hello every one, it has been a while since my last post. I apologize for this, it's just because of my exams that I'm doing right now! But hey, everything has an end.

Beautiful View for the sun rising behind the convent of our lady .. this picture was taken early in the morning about 6.00 AM in Saidnaya time.
They show the whole town, as they are taken from the mountain, (the western).
Get your coffee, and sit in front of your computer and imagine yourself there .. where ever you are at the moment.

It is here in saidnaya. the day before of the day of taking this picture was the sunday that comes before the easter (al Sha'aneeneh).
It was a cloudy day ... taken in the morning
